Overview

Located in the heart of Puncak Alam, ROJAK CENDOL HAJI ALI is a must-visit cafe for anyone seeking an authentic Malaysian street food experience with a focus on traditional rojak and refreshing cendol. Nestled along Lorong Naluri Sukma, this modest yet bustling eatery captures the spirit of local flavors through its carefully curated menu. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for families, friends, and solo diners looking to savor genuine tastes in a comfortable setting.

The main attraction here is undoubtedly the rojak, a vibrant mix of crisp vegetables, soft tofu, and a medley of proteins like squid, prawn, and chicken, all enveloped in a thick, sweet, and tangy peanut sauce that strikes a perfect balance on the palate. The variety ranges from classic rojak to specialty versions like Rojak Mee and Rojak Sotong, showcasing culinary creativity without straying from tradition.

Equally impressive is their cendol selection, a refreshing counterpoint to the bold rojak flavors. The cendol here blends shaved ice with pandan-flavored jelly, rich coconut milk, and fragrant gula melaka syrup. Variants with grass jelly, mango, or even pulut (glutinous rice) add unique textures and layers of flavor, catering to diverse tastes while maintaining authenticity. This makes the cafe not just a place for a quick bite but also a destination for those craving the quintessential Malaysian dessert experience.

The spatial layout supports a friendly and lively atmosphere, often buzzing with locals who appreciate the value of high-quality traditional dishes at reasonable prices. Its accessibility in Puncak Alam makes it a convenient stop for anyone traveling through Selangor or residents wanting to indulge in nostalgic regional specialties.

Overall, ROJAK CENDOL HAJI ALI offers more than just food—it delivers a cultural encounter through every bite. The harmony of textures in their rojak and the refreshing coolness of their cendol make it a standout spot for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike, seeking to connect with Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage in a relaxed yet vibrant environment.

Rojak and cendol. Various types of rojak and cendol. You can see the menu as in the picture. There are 4 tables for dining for 14 people to eat only. 3 tables inside and one small table outside. The dining area is air-conditioned. The food packaging is good. Cendol is packaged in a container. Reasonable prices.

Rojak is delicious. The price is okay, but when you open the door of the restaurant, you smell cigarettes. The smell is very strong. So we decided to tapau. The floor is dirty. Can fix it again.

I had rojak biasa and cendol durian here. Their rojak was ok. Pretty much what you can expect from a standard rojak/pasembur. Their cendol durian however was awesome! They claimed that they use durian udang merah for their cendol. I don't know much about types of durian and the differences in their taste, but I can assure you it's very creamy, delicious and worth the price. I wish they would serve shaved ice for their cendol instead of crushed ice, but it's still nice. A nice place to be especially in the hot sunny afternoon. Recommended!
